| The Prevalence and Prognostic Significance of Electrocardiographic Abnormalities Euan Angus Ashley, MD, Vinod Kumar Raxwal, MD, Victor F. Froelicher, MD Veterans Administration Palo Alto Health Care System Palo Alto, California Foreward The first Current Problems in Cardiology issue of the new millennium is written by Drs Ashley, Raxwal, and Froelicher from the Veterans Administration Palo Alto Health Care System and Stanford University. They provide a magnificent, awe-inspiring overview of the prevalent and prognostic significance of electrocardiographic abnormalities. This monograph is the most extensive review ever performed of the diagnostic significance of various findings on the resting electrocardiogram. Dr Froelicher and his colleagues are to be congratulated on this extensive effort, which provides material that should be read by everyone involved in electrocardiographic interpretations. The editorial board of Current Problems in Cardiology could not have selected a better first monograph for the year 2000. Robert A. O'Rourke, MD, FACC, MACP Editor in Chief |
